How to Cite your sources in NoodleTools
Access NoodleTools via ClassLink > Curriculum Resources folder.

Set up your NoodleTools account (you only have to do this once):
Cite a Gale or Proquest online database article:
Cite a WorldBook article:
Copy/paste a citation:

Set up your NoodleTools account (you only have to do this once):
- Go to ClassLink →Curriculum Resources folder →NoodleTools..
- Select Create New Account
- Enter graduation year if prompted and click to submit.
- You will be logged in and see the NoodleTools home screen.
- From now on, when you go through ClassLink to NoodleTools, you should be automatically logged in.
Cite a Gale or Proquest online database article:
- On the article page, click the “Cite” button at the top.
- Click on the NoodleTools icon.
- In the new tab that pops open, scroll to the bottom. Be sure that the correct NoodleTools project is visible in the dropdown menu at the bottom, and click “Import References.”
- Close out of the new tab that popped open.
- Click back onto your original NoodleTools tab, and refresh the page. Your new citation will appear.
- Edit the citation as needed by clicking on the Options dropdown menu to the right of your citation.
Cite a WorldBook article:
- On the article page, click on the gear button in the upper right, and select "Citation," OR you can scroll all the way to the bottom of the article, and click on "How to cite this article."
- Highlight the entire citation in the format you want (MLA, APA, etc.), and copy it.
- On NoodleTools Sources tab, click on the green "+New Source" button in the upper right.
- Select "Database" and then "Original Content in Database."
- At the top of the form, click the link to "Quick Cite: Copy and paste a citation."
- Paste the citation from your clipboard into the "Manually-edited citation" box, and click Save.
- In NoodleTools, click “+New Source” in the upper right, and select “Website” and then “Web Page” (or another type of website).
- Cut and paste URL of website into top box.
- Look around on the website (top, bottom, etc.) for the information to fill in the rest of the NoodleTools fields, and click Save. Can’t find an element? Leave it blank.
Copy/paste a citation:
- In NoodleTools, click “+New Source” in the upper right, and select “Website” and then “Web Page” (or another type of website).
- In the top right, click on "Quick cite: Copy/paste a citation"
- Paste the citation into the "Manually-edited citation" box and click the blue Save button.
Cite a print book:
- In NoodleTools, click “+New Source” in the upper right, and select “Print or in-hand,” and then “Book.”
- Enter the ISBN number found on the barcode on the back of the book, and click “Search.”
- Click on the book title found near the bottom of the page under “Search Results,” and then click on “Import Selected Resource,” and then “Continue.”
- Click the blue “Save” button at the top.
